On arrival at the club you will see the nice wide drive and gate way into the property. We have ample parking for a large number of floats and you are welcome to leave space in between each car and float so there is room to tie your mount. We ask the gate is kept closed at all times when horses are on the grounds and that no float yards are erected.
There are ample day yards for everyone to use. All have gates or ropes to prevent horses from getting out. The use of a rope behind the horses when in the bays is encouraged. There is also a four bay wash down area located near the entrance gate for your lovely mount to have a well-earned wash down after their lessons. If you or your horse decide thereafter to loose that freshly washed look there is also an enclosed rolling area for them to get all nice and sandy!
At the Club Room we ask riders to come to sign in/out and where we have our morning tea is located. Toilet facilities are located to the left of the Club Room.
Our Club Room looks out onto the grass area. This well maintained and loved surface is for walking your horse only. Trotting, cantering, and the odd gallop can be done on the two very large river sand arenas. This is where our flatwork, poles and jumping lessons are held. These are separated into 3-4 arenas on our rally days according to needs.
Our Cross-Country training is located at the back of the main arenas and contains a water complex, a variety of cross-country jumps and a Horse Playground. We are very fortunate to have a good variety of jumps ranging from 30cm up to 80cm, and a variety of options on the water jump suitable all levels or riders. Our Horse Playground has some obstacles that are just little something different!
We are very fortunate to have such wonderful grounds and facilities, which are always being updated and improved! If you have any suggestions or ideas please let us know as the Peel Metropolitan Pony Club who share the grounds with are always asking for them.
